Why I Hate Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero is great fun when you’re sitting at home with nothing else to do, or if you want to challenge a friend. However, like all technological goodness, the novelty does eventually wear off.
So here are the reasons why I hate Guitar Hero:
- Slow Ride- I can happily go another three lifetimes without ever having to hear this song again. It may be the easiest song on Guitar Hero 3, which means it’s the one that beginners play the most. I’m sick of it.
- The “Lead Singer”- I don’t know what it is, but that animated lead singer really pisses me off. I think it’s because, at the risk of sounding shallow, I find him really ugly.
- People who think guitar hero is better than guitar- It isn’t, has never been and will never be. With the amount of time some people spend playing it, they could actually pick up an instrument and lean it instead.
- When people act as though being able to play on expert is the greatest talent ever- When people are really good at playing a real instrument, it usually blows you away. Or at least you can be amazed and/or slightly jealous at how good they are. However being able to play Raining Blood, as cool as it is, just isn’t the same.
- Guitar Hero Competitions- Guitar Hero is like watching someone else read a book. Fantastic for the person doing it, but no so fun to watch.
Let’s face it. I’m just bitter because I can’t get past easy….
